EV Visceral 1 Weekend with Dan Bensky

Sept 11th, 12th & 13th, 2026

Seattle, WA

In this course, which spans two weekends, we will explore the living anatomy of the important viscera and learn palpatory techniques to listen to them. While many in the TEAM world today look upon the yin and yang organs as abstract conglomerations of functions, we will see that they are closely connected with the physical body. Furthermore, rather  than thinking of the organs as flat images from an anatomy text, you will learn to engage them as they actually present themselves in your patients. For each organ we will go over its anatomy and how to find it, learn to appreciate its mobility and motility through hands-on practice, and discuss ways of integrating this information into the practice of TEAM. This next step in Engaging Vitality® will aid in gaining a more complete and grounded understanding of TEAM and its applications, and it will have a significant positive impact on your practice.

The first weekend begins with layer palpation and the osteopathic and visceral basics that underlie this work. We then turn to the liver and stomach, the intestines, sphincter-like areas (SLAs), including how to assess whether they are functioning well.

Please note: this is a single course that spans two weekends, and registration includes both. The one exception is for those who have previously taken an EV Visceral class — they are welcome to sign up for just one weekend. Keep in mind that the material is distributed differently than in the earlier Visceral classes, so a single weekend may include both some review and some gaps.
